You made me cry! I identify with all that you wrote so much! I have came to same conclusions with schooling – it cannot be a “one-size-fits-all” for our autistic kids. My son hates school now and simply refuses to do any work. We’ll be doing some at home now! Even economics and history!!!

I’m new to this website and just happened to stumble across this article. It moved me to tears. Our son was diagnosed with Autism when he was 4.5yrs old and it has been a rollercoaster ride. You have recorded many of our experiences too. Our son, now nearly 7 has come so far with God’s help + homeschooling has DEFINITELY helped him and us. I’m so pleased for you + your precious Alex.
