This is an invitation to join a group of young people exploring and enjoying the wonderful world of dance.

I am a qualified dance teacher and have studied and taught dance in a variety of settings for about 15 years. I love to encourage students to explore a range of movements while practicing safe dance techniques.
The many benefits of dance such as increased fitness, flexibility, strength, musicality, co-ordination and self-confidence become most evident when students are having fun and learning in a safe, nurturing

environment. I aim to provide a class where students feel comfortable to enjoy the beauty and challenges of dance.

Last year our group explored a variety of dance styles including jazz, contemporary, rock ‘n’ roll, bootscooting, tango, latin, disco, folk and bellydance. Classes always include warm-ups, stretches, basic dance techniques and some creative movement. I would like to continue to explore these and other dance styles with the students with the objective being an appreciation of dance and music rather than mastery of any particular style.
