Mathletics

HEN is registered with Mathletics as a ‘school’. The cost of the program for home use is usually $99 per student per year but HEN members can now access the program for $30 per student per year.

  • Participation is optional and the cost is in addition to HEN membership.
  • The program is Internet based and a broad band connection is advisable for use.
  • HEN will be invoiced by Mathletics for all participating families, collect the monies and pay Mathletics.
  • HEN is listed as a Mathletics school and, in participating families, parents will be listed as ‘teachers’ and their children as students in their ‘class’.
  • Parents can monitor progress, see reports and set tasks.
  • One HEN parent, Colita Scott, will act as Mathletics Trainer/Coordinator for the group.
  • There will be no cost to those members who do not wish to use the program.
  • Participating students have access to the program 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for a period of one year and can then renew.
  • There are two main components to the program – a full maths curriculum (which can be parent set or worked through in a self-paced way) and a ‘Live Mathletics’ feature in which students compete against others if they wish.

To find out more about the program, go to the Mathletics website. A good part of the site to visit to get an idea of how the program works is through the Student guide located under the guides tab at the bottom of the front page.

Mathletics users can also elect to enrol in the Spellodrome programme at the teacher rate of $15 rather than the public rate of $50.

If you are interested in using Mathletics, please contact Colita at ua.ude.civ.de-emohnull@scitelhtaM with your membership number letting her know how many children you would like to sign up and what grade levels they would be entered under.

Please note access to the program through HEN will only be available to current members and we will verify your membership before enrolling your children.

HEN handles Mathletics memgerships but Spellodrome enrolments are handled directly by Mathletics. If you wish to sign up for Spellodrome, enrol in Mathletics first and, once up and running, there will be a link on your account where you can enrol in Spellodrome.

Hi Jane, I’m sorry you haven’t heard from us in regards to Mathletics. I suspect your email must have fallen into Colita’s spam folder. I’ve resent your enquiry to her today. Regards, Sue

    Hi there,

I am a parent of year 2 student at Highgate Primary School. When admitted he was enrolled for Mathletics too. Can I pls get an advice on how to log in in the mathletics website and get my child going with this online education?

    Kind Regards,
    Kiran Kandel

Hi Kiran, your son would have received a login name and password from his school. He can use those to login to the site at http://www.mathletics.com.au/ from home. If he has left school and his login id no longer works, it is possible to sign up through HEN, if you’d like to join. HEN members have access to Mathletics at $30 per year. See http://www.home-ed.vic.edu.au/2008/11/20/mathletics/ for details.

I would like to join HEN to access the Mathletic program for my two children. It will be great if this can be done sooner rather than later. I would like to know if that can be organize through the phone?

    Hi Su Nee,
You are most welcome to join and access Mathletics. To join, go to our shop page and purchase a traditional or PDF membership. I’ll email you details on how to sign up for Mathletics.
