The Educational Coordinator is owner Marsha Karanikos, a homeschooling parent who is a Victorian registered teaching professional.  Her specific qualifications highlight years of experience and specialised mathematics studies. She is currently teaching all students from Prep through to VCE Specialised Mathematics.

The program will cater to all student levels/abilities regardless of their age. 

For example, a student in year 3 that has strong basic skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions can be introduced to secondary school math such as algebra and long division…..catering to those that are bright.

As another example, a Year 7 student who is struggling with concepts such as multiplication or fractions can be given a program which ensure strategies, understanding and the linking of math concepts to allow this student to catch up and go forward with math of his/her year and age level.

The program offers an initial assessment to determine the student’s math abilities.  This information is used as input to an ILP (Individualised Learning Plan).  Each student will move at their own pace….slowing down or speeding up on the necessary math topics.  An unlimited amount of practice is available across each topic incorporating complete math coverage and ensuring speed of basics.  See below for a listing of many of the secondary topics to be covered. 

Reports will be available to parents following each session.  A time can be made to discuss any student’s progress in detail, if/when desired by a parent.  The reports provide an opportunity to identify both strengths and weaknesses and inform the parent of topics covered and specific progress.
