can students register personally
Hi Boozayor, Unfortunately, the Maths Trust don’t accept individual entries from the public.
when is the date limit to pay the fees??
Hi,I was wondering where the tests would be taken and are there sample tests or literature outlining the topics which are covered?
Thanks.
Hi Margaret, the test is taken at home under exam conditions – parents sign a paper to say this requirement has been complied with. Sample papers are available here http://www.amt.canberra.edu.au/wuamc.html
Can any one living outside Australia participate this competion? if yes please tell me how we could apply and pay fees
Hi Lalith,
I’m sorry but the turn-around time to return completed comp papers means we can’t accept overseas entries. If you contact the AMT direct though, they may have some arrangements in place which would work for you. All the best.
hi, can you use calculator on the tests
Hi Alice,
The instructions state that no calculators are NOT permitted for the secondary level competitions – Junior, Intermediate and Senior
For the primary levels –
” You may use any teaching aids normally available in your classroom, such as MAB blocks, counters, currency, calculators, play money etc. You are allowed to work on a scrap paper and teachers may explain the meaning of words in the paper”
We are able to accept late entries until the middle of next week.

hi,
i just hope this year it’ll be more complicated as last year’s test.
How many points do you usually need for a prize?
hahha, my shcool just register me and i just answer it. The 6 last question very difficult! but i think i score 85+
I participated AMC in my school a couple days ago.The questions are so complicated but fun~However, how can I participate more AMC’s in the future?
Love,
Rachel~<3
Hi Rachel,
The AMC itself is run once a year. They do have other comps though – check their website or with your school for details. http://www.amt.canberra.edu.au/
YAYYYY I got 120 marks and the prize achievement, but i didn’t get the actual prize…do they still give that out?
when we can have AMC result for 2011
Hi Haritha,
Top results are available on the AMT website
For your individual results contact the school or organisation you registered with.
Can our students (Cambodia) participate in your competition?
Hi Abdulkasim,
It is not our competition. You’ll need to contact the Australian Mathematics Trust regarding entering next year. http://www.amt.edu.au/email.html
Where can i see the result of the competition this year. I got a high distinction award, but i can’t find it on the website.
Hi Amber, as you didn’t enter with HEN as your school, you’ll need to contact your school or the AMT directly for your results.
Hi, is it possible to get a copy of the Maths Competition my son did this year. He is in Grade 5 – School Code 31453. Would like to see what the questions were, and which ones he got wrong.
Cheers,
Jane Busby
Hi Jane,
We don’t actually run the competition ourselves – your school may have kept a copy or you could contact the AMT directly at http://www.amt.edu.au/
hey i am wondering what time of questions are their and how do we register
Do you know roughly how many points does a student need to score to get a Prize (top 0.3%) in a primary school division? 90? 100? 110? 120? I know every region is different, but I’d like to get an indication. Thanks!
No Cindy, I can’t help you there. I’d recommend you contact the AMT direct at http://www.amt.edu.au/email.html and ask them.
Hi Faisal, we only accept entries from our own members. If you are a home educator, you are most welcome to join HEN and enter next year. We notify our members when entries open. Other than that, to arrange entry, talk to your school.
