The University of Sydney Sleek Geeks Science Eureka Prize is offered in 2010 to primary and high school students and home ed students are eligible to enter. The competition encourages students with a passion for science and for communicating ideas to tell a scientific story via a short video piece. For more details see

Last year a home ed student won a prize in these competitions. They are available on line http://www.rgsq.org.au/ to test your Geographic knowledge and map reading, whether you want to compete formally or not.

Home educated students may enter the International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS). Tests are run on seperate days for Computer skills, Science , Spelling & Writing, English and Maths. You may enter one or all of the tests which each have an entry fee ranging from $6.60 to $15.40.
